Houston Poetry Walk -- Cecelia's Question
Using the framework provided by Kaia Sand for a multidisciplinary poetry walk, which Houston neighborhood would you most be inspired to lead a poetry walk through? What images and ideas would you include for those participating in your walk?
I would walk people down Synott Rd in South Houston to where there's an Eastern Orthodox Church, down the street from a Hindu temple, right next door to a Muslim mosque which is across the street from a Vietnamese Buddhist Temple. The school kids of the mosque and hindu temple play with each other through the fence! And, while the mosque does not allow visitors, all the others welcome guests and on festival days they have really amazing food.
